Neon Pong

Neon Pong is a free, glowing remake of the arcade classic that started it all โ€” playable instantly in your browser, with no download and no sign-up. It keeps the simple, addictive heart of Pong and adds neon visuals, power-ups, three CPU difficulty levels, local two-player, and real-time online multiplayer.

How to play

The rules are simple: you control one paddle, your opponent controls the other, and you score by bouncing the ball past them. Miss the ball and they score. The first side to reach the target โ€” 5, 7, or 11 points, your choice โ€” wins the match.

Move your paddle whichever way suits your device:

Where the ball strikes your paddle decides its angle โ€” catch it near the top or bottom edge to fire it off sharply and wrong-foot your opponent. Every paddle hit also speeds the ball up, so long rallies become a real test of reflexes. For a full breakdown, see the how-to-play guide.

Game modes

Online matches run on a server-authoritative simulation, so play stays in sync even if you switch tabs mid-game. Curious how it was built? Read the making-of.

Power-ups

Switch power-ups on and glowing pickups appear on the field during play. Knock the ball into one to trigger it โ€” the effect goes to whoever last touched the ball:

Prefer the pure classic? Turn power-ups off on the menu for straight, traditional Pong.
